This very large beautifully engraved hand coloured original antique map of the Southern Hemisphere including New Holland, South America, Southern Africa and a yet to be discovered south polar region was engraved by John Neele in 1812 - the date is engraved at the foot of the map - and was published by the Scottish publisher John Pinkerton in his large-folio Modern Atlas between 1809-14.
