This beautiful and
original map of Mansfeld region of Saxony-Anhalt,
central Germany was published in the 1662 Latin edition
of Joan Blaeu's Atlas Major.
The map centers on the city of Mansfeld, east to the
city of Halle, south to the Thuringen region, west to
Stolberg and finally north to Bernburg.
Blaeu is one of the most revered map makers of all time
and it is easy to see why in this beautiful original
